Mensaje de parte la Dra. Aynabat Atayeva, Representante UNFPA en Honduras
Estimados socios, aliados y amigos
A medida que cerramos el desafiante año 2020, es hora de celebrar nuestra solidaridad, resiliencia y la fuerza para seguir adelante. A pesar de la pandemia en curso y los desafíos de ejecutar nuestros programas en situaciones frágiles, hemos logrado llegar al final del año con VALOR y FÉ en nosotros mismos, nuestros VALORES y la relevancia de nuestras misiones para las personas a las que servimos.
Ha sido un privilegio trabajar con todos ustedes durante este año desafiante. El equipo del UNFPA ha estado a la vanguardia en la respuesta a la emergencia, al igual que todas las demás agencias de la ONU. Hemos estado trabajando en apoyo a mujeres, adolescentes y niñas, dentro y fuera de los albergues. Colaboramos en el rescate de mujeres embarazadas y protección de víctimas de violencia de género. No ha sido un trabajo fácil. Me gustaría reconocer el enorme apoyo que hemos recibido del Gobierno de la República, de los diferentes entes del Estado, gobiernos locales, organizaciones de sociedad civil, socios de UNFPA. Durante la pandemia en curso y, especialmente, durante el inicio temprano de dos tormentas tropicales Eta e Iota. Un agradecimiento especial por apoyar mi transición a Honduras. Mi equipo y yo aprendimos mucho sobre lo que se necesita para cumplir la misión de UNFPA durante tiempos sin precedentes e inciertos, para afianzarse y crecer y la experiencia informarán nuestros esfuerzos futuros.
Cada final marca un nuevo comienzo , y esperamos un 2021 más saludable y próspero. Juntos, mantenemos nuestro espíritu y nuestra determinación inquebrantables, y siempre caminaremos por el camino de las Naciones Unidas con coraje, fe y gran esfuerzo.
En nombre del equipo del UNFPA en Honduras, me gustaría expresarles mis más sinceros deseos a ustedes y sus familias por unas felices fiestas y un maravilloso Año Nuevo 2021.

Message on behalf of Ms. Aynabat Atayeva, UNFPA Honduras' Representative
Dear Colleagues,
As we are closing out the challenging year of 2020, it is time to celebrate our solidarity, resilience, and the strength to move forward. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the challenges of delivering our programmes in fragile situations, the UNFPA team in Honduras have managed to reach the end of the year with courage and faith in ourselves, our values, and the relevance of our mission to the people we serve.
It has been a privilege to work with all of you throughout this challenging year. The UNFPA team has been at the forefront in responding to the emergency, as have all other UN agencies. We have been working in support of women, adolescents and girls, inside and outside the shelters. We collaborate in the rescue of pregnant women and protection of victims of gender violence. It has not been an easy job and I would like to acknowledge the enormous support we have received from the Government of the Republic, from different State entities, local governments, civil society organizations, and UNFPA partners who support us during the on-going pandemic, and especially, in the early onset of two tropical storms, Eta and Iota. We learned so much from you all on what it takes for delivering the UNFPA mission during unprecedented and uncertain times, to take hold and grow, and your insights and experience will inform our future efforts.
Every end marks a new beginning , and we look forward to a healthier and more prosperous 2021. Together, we keep our spirits and determination unshaken, and will always walk the our UNFPA road with courage, faith and great effort.
